There are many reports related to metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease and colon adenoma, in which H. pylori may possibly play a potencial factor. Different mechanisms of action have been proposed, ranging from the induction of an inflammatory process to the occurrence of molecular mimicry mechanisms in the human microbiota.
