It is one of the most serious vascular complications in the postoperative period and associated with a significant increasing in morbidity, graft loss and mortality. Method: Non-Systematic literature review through Medline-PubMed database with headings related to hepatic artery thrombosis and liver transplantation in articles published until November 2012 was done. Discussion: HAT incidence is 2.5 to 6.8% of adult recipients of liver transplantation. Risk factors for HAT surgical technique are related to more frequent and significant, and are mainly associated with early HAT.
